Deco by Gaziano & Girling.
We have created the Deco range of shoes as our interpretation of 1920's and 1930's high society footwear.
The lines and angles of these shoes reflect a different aesthetic to our elegant range, being a little sharper and more stylised, representing an Art Deco look.
In order to achieve the high standard of our Deco shoe range we have incorporated additional hand making and bespoke grade materials; these shoes are the closest to bespoke, with the exception of the custom made last. Instead we have designed a last specifically for the Deco range and a leather called Deco black, which has a bleached or aged look, both of which are works of art.
All of the Deco waists and soles are hand finished, the uppers are hand lasted and the materials are cut from the very finest leather. We have re-introduced the Spade waist, an age old design feature that had been lost in modern shoemaking techniques, aptly named after the Ace of Spades due to its extreme shape.
Our Deco range is probably the finest example of shoemaking that can be found in modern day ready to wear and very closely resembles the turn of the century shoemaking that can only be found in a few museums today.
Deco shoes are presented with custom shoe trees in a bespoke handmade box. Varied width fittings can be made, as well as extra small and large sizes. Deco shoes can be made in all G&G leathers. We can only make Deco shoes on the Deco last, as the last has been designed especially for this range, however, we will introduce new lasts and new styles in the future.
We understand that the Deco look may be a little sharp for some, but it has been created as a separate range and we will continue to add more conservative designs and shapes to our main range in the future.
